The beetroot gnocchi in boletus sauce at the castle Tavern were fantastic, and the wine selection was excellent. The rooms were nicely furnished with everything needed to feel comfortable. Staff throughout the castle were friendly, from reception, the tavern and restaurant to the ladies in the shop. Guide Alex also made the tour memorable with lots of interesting stories. We attended an organized wine tasting, which was great apart from the Aperitivo, the bar responsible for Italian delicacies. It was badly organized. With a crowd of people, the woman carrying a couple of snacks on a tray was hard to get anything from, and we had to stop her and press her for a taste. The bread on the tables could also have used some seasoning and toasting to go better with the wine. The excellent wines helped make up for those problems that evening. I highly recommend the place.

I recently attended a large conference here, and the powerful feel of the place added to the experience. The setting seems ideal for workshops, events, or retreats, especially if you're looking to reconnect with yourself. The peaceful atmosphere, good food, and warm hospitality made the stay memorable. It feels like a sanctuary for the soul, with room for rest, inspiration, and connection. Highly recommended.

After those tough workshops, the service staff made our evenings feel much more comfortable. Huge thanks for being so friendly and doing such a great job 😊 The place is amazing, and the crew even more so. Cheers!

The outdoor space and breathtaking panoramic views were the highlight for me. I was here for two days in early October on a retreat arranged by my PhD program. The hotel itself was great, with clean, bright, pleasant rooms, good quality food, and a lecture and presentation room that was spacious enough and had good sound.

The grounds are lovely, and the hotel is near a lake, a river, and a vineyard. The receptionists were kind and helpful, with plenty of advice and information. The food was decent, though not amazing. It's around a 10-minute drive from the train station and a 20-minute walk from Leibnitz, so getting around was fairly convenient. I had a great experience and would visit again.
