The apartment itself is beautiful, but I can't recommend staying here because I found the owner unreliable, aggressive, threatening, intimidating, and insulting. We rented it for a second time and forgot to report for payment on Friday morning. Late that afternoon, he was raging at our door, came in without permission, and pointed out the sign showing the payment time. He apologized and said the payment would be processed, but then demanded cash right away, despite our original agreement, saying a bank transfer wasn't possible. My son tried to calm him down, but the owner got nose-to-nose with him and shouted that he had to leave immediately. My son didn't. I got the owner out by saying we'd pay with our debit card. In the end, we paid the whole amount in cash, and he was more or less satisfied. The next morning he asked if we'd like to confirm for next year. No way.
Think twice before booking. The owner, Peter, was aggressive, and we felt children weren't allowed to make any noise. He smelled of alcohol and cigarettes. It got so bad that he nearly started a fight over shoes not being on the mat outside, and he kept picking fights with other guests. We even saw him lock someone outside in the freezing cold. Don't go here.
Our stay started with Peter, who was meant to be the host, acting passive-aggressive because he thought we hadn't paid. We had paid everything properly, but it still took almost two hours to sort things out. He blamed us and even wanted to call the police. He smelled strongly of alcohol and cigarettes and didn't seem clear-headed. He was unpredictable and, to put it mildly, not polite to guests. We won't return. That's no way to treat people, and it was truly disgusting. When we said we visit lots of places in Serfaus, he suddenly became sweet and innocent. It seemed like he was afraid of a bad review. Guests should be treated normally, period. The room had torn curtains and a roller blind that wouldn't come down. There was a full ashtray on the window frame even though we don't smoke, which was very gross. The pan had no proper lid, and there weren't decent teacups or wine glasses. In the shower, you couldn't stand upright, and the shower head didn't reach above shoulder height, so washing your hair meant bending down. Not recommended!
The balconies and terraces have wonderful mountain views, and the apartments are very well equipped. We've spent our holidays at Apart Weidmannsblick for over 15 years. Mr. Auer, the very friendly landlord, is attentive to his guests' well-being and always up for a pleasant chat. Serfaus and this beautiful apartment are always worth a visit.
