Erhart Hotel

The only downside was a loud machine, maybe air conditioning or something, that came on at 7 every morning. Our friends were staying in two other rooms on the same floor and couldn’t hear it there. Otherwise, we loved this cute, family-owned alpine hotel. It was tidy everywhere, the staff were friendly and spoke good English, and the sauna, jacuzzi and little lounge with drinks downstairs were really nice. Dinner was delicious, breakfast had lots of options, and we could walk to the grocery store, slopes, bus stop and village.

We came as part of a ski deal and weren’t sure how much to trust the reviews, but they were right. The food was outstanding, with traditional dishes plus meat, fish and vegetarian options every night, and breakfast was second to none. The family staff were proud of the place and it showed. Our room and the sauna were spotless, with thoughtful touches like magazines, fruit and water. There was also a quiet reading area and plenty of information. Two things really stood out. I have a hearing condition and was struggling with our table location, so they helped accommodate us. And one evening they brought a cake to our table for my wife’s birthday. We hadn’t mentioned it, but the receptionist had noticed. That was so special, thank you! It’s central for most activities, yet quiet, with nice walks by the river or behind town. I almost don’t want to recommend it because it might fill up, and we want to stay here again next time we’re in Solden. No more words, just thank you!

Breakfast starting at exactly 7:30 made it tricky to reach the slopes for the 8 am opening. Also, the Austrian twin beds can’t be separated if you’re sharing with a friend. Those were my only minor issues. The hotel is quiet but close to the town centre, and about a pleasant five-minute walk without ski gear to the nearest lift. The ski area is extensive and well served by lifts. Our room was spacious and very clean, and the whole hotel was spotless. The food was varied and excellent, and the hardworking staff were attentive and cared about our stay. We went on a Crystal ski trip from the UK and flew into nearby Innsbruck Airport. I’d happily stay here again.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the whole place was spotless. Rooms were comfortable, the food was superb, and there’s a nice spa area. It’s around a ten-minute walk to the Gaislachkoglbahn ski lift. My only small suggestion would be to upgrade the room sockets to USB. I’d highly recommend this hotel!
