Echt Woods Appartements

We had a great experience overall, with welcoming hosts and a modern, spacious apartment with a view. The kitchen was well equipped, including a dishwasher, and the underground car park fit our car with its rooftop cargo box (max. 2.05 m). Useful information and bread service were available through the complex’s own application. Ski bus stops, ski rental, and a supermarket are within walking distance. The ski storage room, elevator, and free washer and dryer were convenient too. There were some cleanliness issues, and reception was hard to reach, often involving a wait for someone to become available. The WiFi was slow and unstable. The sauna had limited hours and meant walking across the road to their other building. There was no microwave oven, and the queen bed’s two mattresses slipped apart easily, leaving a big gap in the middle.

We’ve been coming back year after year for summer walks and winter skiing in Soll. It’s probably been nearly 25 years since our first visit to the Gansleit with our two young children, and Rosie and Steve, originally from the UK, are still just as welcoming. The Austrian charm and cuisine are still there too. This time we stayed in the Echt Woods apartments opposite. Everything in the apartment was high quality, from the walk-in shower and comfortable bed to the very well-equipped kitchen. You can still opt in for breakfast or dinner, and there’s a great dining and sitting area in each apartment if you eat in. Rosie will also bring fresh bread in the morning if you request it. Our balcony had a wonderful view of the Hohe Salve Mountain.

The apartments are beautifully designed and very cozy, with a great location.
