The room was lovely, with a beautiful panorama over Söll, but the rest of the stay fell short. The owners were unfriendly and we didn't feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Food seemed rushed, and it wasn't fresh or tasty. There weren't enough towels in the wellness area, and the lounge had no atmosphere. The bar was sometimes already closed after dinner. This felt more like a 3-star stay than a 4-star hotel.

There were four of us in an apartment, and both showers had almost no water pressure. The owner came once and got it working for a day, but the problem came back and then we couldn't get a response. The owner was very rude. We were also charged for coffee capsules, and they wouldn't even discuss compensating us. Stay away!

Breakfast was OK, but that was about the only bright spot. The rooms are cramped, and our three-person room had just one key. When guests without a key call the night porter to be let in, they're not happy about it. The staff were unfriendly, and this certainly isn't a four-star hotel.

The food was insufficient, and our room was usually cold. Staff were unhappy and rude. At dinner, if you didn't order wine, they wouldn't give you tap water. The ski room was tiny too. Every dinner, they put other people's drink orders on our room bill, so we had to correct it each day, twice. Everything isn't money. Hospitality matters a lot.

The apartment was clean and spacious, with good beds, and the hilltop location gave us a lovely view over the village. It's only a short walk down to several restaurants. If you plan to cook, though, the kitchen could use basics like salt, pepper and oil. Having to buy all of those is a bit of a pain. What brought the rating down was the sauna. I booked mainly because the listing said it was free to use, then found out it was being renovated along with the hotel. That should have been mentioned on the website.
