Wohlfühl Chalet Alpenglöckchen

We’d love to return to this clean, well-kept holiday home. It’s in a great spot for cycling and hiking, and the landlord was very friendly.

The house sits on a hillside with a wonderful view over the mountains and valley. It has a lovely feel, and I especially liked the way the rooms are laid out, with comfortable, pleasant spaces. My favorite was the glass-surrounded winter garden, the “second living room,” where I could have my morning coffee and watch the sunrise. The living and dining room also has a gas fireplace that was a real highlight. The kitchen is very well equipped, with everything I use at home. We were there for skiing and could store and dry our things easily. There was even a boot dryer, and the instructions for it and the washing machine meant we could be ready for another snowy adventure within a few hours. Upstairs are three rooms: one with a double bed, one with a double and a single bed, and a third with a bunk bed with a side guard and a single bed. Eight people can sleep comfortably. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs with a bathtub and one downstairs with a shower. The whole place was very clean and had a pleasant atmosphere. The sauna was the highlight of the day. It wasn’t too hot, but it refreshed our frozen bodies. You can shop in the neighboring town, get a really delicious hamburger or just have a drink. A railway starts there and goes to the Kreischberg cable car, and it’s free to use with a ski pass. Even when I woke up with sore muscles and purple spots, the atmosphere and wonderful view always made me feel better. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

The underfloor heating was especially nice in this very pleasant holiday home. In winter, though, the sun disappears after 3 pm. It’s otherwise well placed for the ski area and for quick shopping trips.

It’s a lovely, quiet spot for a cottage, and it was clean and well equipped. We had all the utensils we needed for cooking and cleaning.
