Hotel Vitus Steyr

Christkindlwirt was fantastic. The team was so friendly, the service stayed top-notch even with other events going on, and the food was first-rate. Big compliments to everyone, especially the pastry crew and the manager, who was always cheerful and welcomed us warmly every day. We'll definitely return. We stayed in the Vitus Suite, a lovely, spacious city hotel. We went to the restaurant by bike each time, so I can't say how the shuttle service was, though it was offered. A well-earned five stars! 👍 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The atmosphere was really cozy, and the beds were easily the best I've ever had in a hotel. Sara took care of everything in a professional, friendly, and uncomplicated way. We felt well looked after right from the start. We were very satisfied and would love to return!

The food was the only good part of our stay. At meals at Hotel Christkindl, nobody greeted us or said anything kind. The hotel taxi reeked of smoke, and the driver didn't even say good morning. He drove up and down the mountain like a maniac, which was frightening. Our so-called suite was a small apartment, and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. We never saw a cleaning crew during our stay. The safe and living-area light in our room didn't work, the dishwasher was broken, and water sprayed everywhere from the shower hose. We complained to the manager herself, but nothing was done. Reception was unattended. We got a number code for the documents and information material, with no greeting. We'd booked a spa voucher with treatments, but they scheduled us for 9 a.m. the next day without asking. At the Christkindl Hotel reception, our cancellation was simply accepted even though I complained. If you wanted a massage at 9 a.m., nothing else was offered. We left after two nights, and no one even asked why. This was the worst stay we've had in a long time, and we definitely wouldn't recommend it.

The massage was excellent, and the beds were very comfortable. The place is in a central spot in a modern new building. Meals are at Christkindlwirt, with a shuttle service available.
