The rooms were clean and simple, with a great view, and the hotel is right by the main road. Imst is where you’ll need to go for things to do, about 20 minutes by bus or 10 by car. What frustrated me was the lack of staff, so you’re left to sort out problems yourself, and the Wi-Fi can stop working for a few hours at random. Also, hardly anyone in town speaks English, so you’re stuck if you don’t speak German.

The food was good, and the location beside the road to the mountain pass is convenient. The room was clean and comfortable, but very old, and there was no shampoo. The service is what spoiled the stay for me. The waitress was kind, but the man taking our order and payment at the restaurant was rude and unhelpful. After a long day of travel, we needed basic kindness and help, and he didn’t meet even the minimum I expect from hospitality. We won’t return and can’t recommend the place.

Dinner and breakfast were both very good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room had an incredible view. It felt like a rustic Austrian hotel, and it was quiet and relaxing, while still close to Imst and its facilities. I came by car this time, but there are lots of facilities for motorcyclists, so I might return with my bike one day.

The staff were friendly enough to take the piss, and the coffee was good. The Apfelstrudel was super, but the Kaiserschmarrn was even better. 😉
