We stayed in the newer section across the skyway. Our room had modern amenities and mountain views from the balcony. We happened to visit during an Austria BBQ, and the grilled meats, fish, and vegetables were delicious. It’s a beautiful hotel, women owned, with lovely views and great food.

We stayed in July 2023. The food was fully okay, though not much more, and the place felt geared toward bus trips and overnight stays by elderly guests. It’s a traditional Austrian restaurant with a standard interior and a terrace outside with a little playground. Fine for sitting down to dinner, but not cozy or fancy. We ordered ordinary dishes, pizza, sausage for the kids, and Schnitzel. For one main dish, we could choose our salad from the salad menu. It all seemed pretty standard, made to serve a larger number of guests in a short time. No mistake to go there, but other places have more character, atmosphere, and better cuisine.

We liked the restaurant enough to come back a second time before heading home. The service was kind and fairly quick, even when it was busy. They have gluten free schnitzels, which I hadn’t eaten since my celiacs diagnosis more than 8 years ago!

The place was crowded, but we had booked a table. When a bigger one became available, they offered to move us, and we did. Very nice service, with good food and beers.

After our meal they served complementary Schnapps. The local food was good, the prices were great value, and the service was attentive and welcoming.
