The skiing was convenient, with hardly any tourists around, mostly people from Austria and Germany. In high season, an adult pass was around 50 EUR, teens 25 EUR, and kids were free, up to two per family. You can get a 20% discount with a guest card, so ask about it in advance. Starting rides from 11:30 is cheaper too. We stayed in the left apartment in the long building from 31.12 to 03.01. There are four apartments in that building, plus other houses I can’t speak for. It’s a lovely, modern place about 400m from the cable car station, right in the Austrian Alps. Outside there’s parking, space for snowballs and making a snowman, and outdoor tables and chairs. One apartment has its own sauna, not shared with everyone. Downstairs, the studio has a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, small fridge, lots of kitchenware, and a great Siemens oven and hob. There’s a washing machine in the pantry too. The studio has a handy pellet fireplace in front of the sofa, a table big enough for 4-6, chairs, and lots of kids’ board games. Upstairs are two rooms with double beds, mountain views and a balcony. One has a toilet and shower, the other just a shower. There’s also a small attic reached by a retractable ladder where kids can play pirates. Bring coffee capsules and washing powder if you plan to use everything. The village is high up the mountain, but the road was well prepared despite heavy snow during all three days. You’ll need a car if you didn’t rent skis or want to shop. There’s no rental place or supermarket nearby, so getting to the shops means taking 12 hairpin bends through the Alps. Best to plan ahead. There’s a large restaurant and bar about 300m away, opposite the cable car station. Takeaway beer is around 3 EUR, and meal prices are reasonable for a village above 1,000m with a narrow road leading up the mountain. Great place for a holiday!
