Chalet Reserl

Chalet Reserl in Rojach near Velden is a cozy little holiday home for two, with the peace and quiet you need to get away from everyday stress. It’s a lovely place to relax in both summer and winter, and worth visiting any time of year. Always happy to come back 😉

The accommodation itself is really nice, but we didn’t enjoy our three-night vacation at the Reserl holiday home in Klagenfurt on Lake Wörthersee. The steep stairs also make the house difficult to use with children or dogs. There’s no kettle, shampoo or shower gel, and there are extra charges: a €200 deposit in cash, €2 per person per night, and €5 per pet per night. Our arrival was a mess. We had sent a booking request that the owner accepted, but somehow we thought the house was already booked. That wasn’t the case. We arrived at 4:00 PM as arranged, with an email confirming the booking and regular check-in time, and were told there was no reservation and nobody was expected. I showed the payment and reservation confirmation, but the owner rudely insisted there was no booking. A few minutes later, he said there was a booking after all, but claimed the previous guest had stayed longer and the room wasn’t ready. He didn’t apologize and told us to leave and come back in two hours. The conditions were unprofessional, rude, and full of insults and lies. I can’t recommend this accommodation to anyone.

A very bad person, and unfortunately unwilling to compromise. Don’t book with them. A rip-off artist.

The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, and the view is amazing. Simply a dream!
