Chalet Glemmtal - Haus Bergblick

We celebrated my 30th birthday here, and it was a wonderful place for it. The housekeeper was always available and incredibly efficient, as well as genuinely warm and welcoming. That made our stay even more enjoyable. The house was clean and everything worked perfectly. My only issues were the pillows, which weren’t very comfortable, and the mattresses, which felt rather thin and firm. That may come down to personal preference. There’s a small shop in the village, but the selection is very limited. For a supermarket, you can go to Maishofen or Saalbach. Hiking trails start just outside the house or in nearby villages, and the charcoal grill is available to use in front of the entrance.

The chalet was lovely and peaceful. Everything else was fine, though the Wi-Fi was really weak.

The house was clean and roomy, and the kitchen had what we needed. The hot tub worked at first, but after four days it began to smell because the owner hadn't maintained it with chlorine tablets, despite our requests for someone to take care of it. None of the outdoor lights worked, and the awning still wouldn't work after we asked the owner about it. With nine of us, the sofa bed made things feel a bit cramped. After we gave it only 7/10 on Booking.com, the owners called us angrily. The house itself had been a good place for our vacation.

Good value, a great spot, and very good facilities. We had a great stay.
