We got there at 11 PM and found the door locked. The code didn't work, so we had to find somewhere else to stay in the middle of the night. They promised compensation the next day, but it never came despite us asking several times. That's no way to treat guests. I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

After hours on the road, we arrived at 10:30 PM and couldn't get in because the door code was wrong. Customer service wasn't available and nobody answered our messages, so we booked a nearby hotel for the rest of the stay. They finally responded at noon the next day, after many messages and calls. They said they would contact Booking.com about a refund and repay us for one night at the hotel we had booked. A week and a half later, we had to ask Booking.com for the refund ourselves, since the host hadn't even reported it. And the promised payment for that extra night never showed up. Terrible.

The customer service was very disappointing. I had to cancel because of illness, but there was no flexibility at all. They just pointed me to the cancellation terms and insurance. That may be legally covered, but from my perspective it wasn't customer-friendly. In a reasonable exceptional situation like this, I would have hoped for more understanding. I was left feeling that fair, humane treatment wasn't much of a priority.
