Novotel Suites Wien City Donau Hotel

Two large supermarkets, a nice pastry shop, and a metro station are all within 100 meters, which made the location ideal for us. The food was excellent, with plenty of choice and consistently good quality. We stayed with our children, and the spacious, comfortable room gave us lots of room to unwind after busy days. The staff were patient, friendly, and ready to explain things or help. The toilet area was on the small side, but it was separate from the main bathroom, which had both a shower cabin and a bathtub, so it didn’t affect our comfort much. We had a fantastic time and would happily stay again.

Prater park is walkable, and there’s a Billa supermarket across the road. For elsewhere, the U1 is a minute away, while Praterstern station is about a 10-minute walk and connects to the U2, trains, and trams. You can also take an OBB train to the airport from there. Strock bakery around the corner was very good for breakfast. The hotel itself is well located, clean, and the staff were helpful and polite. Our room had a sitting area and separate bathroom and toilet, which was handy, and the beds were comfortable. We booked a twin, and technically got two beds, but they were right beside each other, which might be awkward for anyone who isn’t close. The drinks area was well set up. Breakfast was excellent and better than a typical continental spread, with smoked salmon and brie every day and excellent bread. At €25 when purchased separately, though, it’s a bit expensive. We really enjoyed our stay.

Vorgartenstraße Metro station on the U1 is just a short walk away, and there’s a good grocery store one block from the hotel. Our room was spacious, quiet, and clean, with a refrigerator, complimentary minibar, and an in-room coffee and espresso machine. The hotel had all the amenities we wanted. Breakfast was tasty and offered plenty of variety, although it was pricey.

This was the best of the three hotels on our trip, and Vienna was our last stop. The room was comfortable and spacious, and there are grocery stores nearby. It’s close to the U-Bahn, though not in the city center. Check-in happens pretty much at the time stated in the reservation, but they can store your bags.
