Appartements Knappensteig

We paid for an apartment in the "Relax" building, but were moved without warning or our agreement to a different layout in the inferior "Zeitlos" building. It had no direct access to the pool and a worse children's area. When I asked the owner what had happened, he claimed the apartment photos were only examples. That was obviously untrue, since our booking was changed to a unit in another building, and there was no mention during booking that the photos were examples. We felt deceived and have never been treated so disgustingly as guests. I advise against staying here.

We had a perfect stay as a family with two kids, with lots to do at the hotel: a pool, playground, playroom, and a great terrace. Wasserwelt is right next door, and the location was amazing. We’d book again if we come back and can recommend it. Just bear in mind that walking down to the shops or around town means walking back up too. It was fine even with smaller kids, but worth considering.

The hosts were very nice and helpful, and there’s a good playground at the property, with plenty more a short distance away. A very kid-friendly place for a summer holiday. We can definitely recommend it to anyone after a nice family vacation.

We had a four-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment for three couples and two kids, and it worked perfectly. There was plenty of separation for a big group, and noise didn’t carry between rooms or floors. The place has loads of facilities, including outdoor play equipment, bikes to borrow, games, and a huge playroom with an arcade game table. There’s also a laundry room for 7 euros. The owner is around, really nice and helpful, and clearly takes care of the place. Towels and toilet paper are provided, but bring your own hand soap and shower products.
