Karrerhof

We had such a good time at Karrerhof and are already planning to return next year. Lake Walchsee is stunning. The owners were very kind, and everything was neat and clean. We’d gladly recommend the place. Best wishes from the Kunze family.

We were welcomed so warmly and enjoyed our week here. The guesthouse is right in the town center, by a beautiful lake, with a restaurant and market nearby. Our room was quiet, with comfortable, warm beds and a fully equipped kitchenette where we could cook when it suited us. The hosts were friendly and very helpful. It’s also handy for getting to well-known Tyrolean ski resorts, around half an hour to an hour away. We’d love to return and recommend staying here. Thank you! :)

We’ve stayed here three times, in September 2016, June 2017, and September 2017, and would happily come again. The rooms are cozy, clean, nicely equipped, and Wi-Fi is free. We could bring our little dog, had a parking space by the house, and thought the price was excellent for what you get. The main road is the drawback: with the window open, cars are audible until late and start up again early. You do get used to it after a day. Five stars from us, and we’ll be back.

We lasted two days, after 48 hours without sleep, then cut our week short and escaped to Berchtesgaden. The photos give a misleading impression, though they do show the place right by the main road. Trucks, cars, and tractors roar past day and night. Checking the map first would have saved us from spending our vacation beside such a busy thoroughfare.
