The extra charges pushed our total to about 30% more than the booking amount, and they hadn't been clearly explained in advance. We were charged for cleaning, bringing our dog, and parking on arrival, even though the accommodation was advertised as pet-friendly and offering parking. Those costs felt especially unreasonable given the basic standard of the place. The furnishings and overall quality reminded us of a simple sports hostel or dormitory, and the constant foot traffic in the hallways made it feel insecure and unsuitable for families. Breakfast was 40 euros per person, far too much for that standard. We would have gladly had breakfast, but the price didn't match the service. They also tried to keep our 300€ deposit, saying we'd left trash in the room and should have cleaned it ourselves. We found that entirely unjustified, especially since a cleaning fee was already on the final bill. That attempt made our impression even worse. There was a major gap between what the accommodation was like and what we were charged, so it was very poor value. If we'd known the real costs and conditions, we'd have chosen a higher-quality property for the same amount.

The breakfast buffet was incredibly tasty, and the outdoor seating had a great view. The children's playground was clean and nice, too. In the breakfast area, we met Muath, who was lovely and funny, chatted without being annoying, and had great stories to tell. The apartment was a pleasure to stay in. The rooms were clean when we arrived, and we received amazing hospitality. Views from the balcony and windows were perfect. The hotel also gives you a summer card for activities, plus a booklet showing which ones are free or discounted. Thanks for the great hospitality.

It was a bad experience and not at all like the room pictures. It looked modern in the images, but really wasn't worth the money. A young female receptionist couldn't help me and told me to call agoda, but agoda wasn't helpful either, so I stayed in the apartment. At checkout, the same receptionist was disrespectful and twice asked whether I'd taken the rubbish outside. I told her that if she didn't believe me, she could come check the apartment with me. I think this hotel doesn't respect Arabs, judging by how I was treated. I won't book a room with alpen or agoda again.

There was plenty of space for our family, with a living area and kitchenette, and a ski depot for storing our gear. The apartment was clean, well equipped and in a handy central spot near the bus and train station, cable cars and town. Staff were friendly and helpful. We’d happily stay again.
