We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Seehof. The manager and her staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. The lake view was stunning, and the location worked really well, just a short distance from the center of Zell am See. Having the hotel’s own parking was convenient too. I highly recommend it.

The main drawback was the train noise at night. The tracks are close to the lake-view rooms, and I was woken several times, so light sleepers should keep that in mind. Apart from that, everything was fine. It’s a clean, comfortable, well-managed 3-star hotel, and the breakfast was really nice. The experience met my expectations for this category.

The breakfast was good, with an amazing view over the lake, and it’s worth booking a table at the hotel restaurant while you’re there. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. There’s a nice sauna too, and booking it for private use was inexpensive. You do have to reserve it, which was lovely.

The hosts and staff made us feel so welcome. I loved the hotel’s art and style, with lovely things to look at everywhere. It felt like someone’s passion project, and made me regret choosing larger chains instead of more family-run places across Austria. We stayed two nights in June in a budget room on the third floor, and I wasn’t expecting much. But the balcony view was gorgeous, and they’d made every effort to keep guests comfortable. It was hot, but we had a large fan, a kettle and plenty of storage. My favorite hotel of the trip.

The views were breathtaking, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Our room was clean and cozy. Hotel Seehof was a perfect place to stay in Zell am See, right by the lake and an easy walk from the town center.
