Just 200m from the city center, with clean rooms and toilets.

The room was mostly clean, though we found a few hairs in the bed. It had a 70s look mixed with discount store furniture. There were sweets and schnapps, but the small fridge wasn't working. The mattresses were very hard. We tried to check in at 2:50 pm and found a locked door with a sign saying it wouldn't open until 4:00 pm. The booking confirmation said check-in was from 2:00 pm, so this should have been made clear when we booked. The woman who greeted us that evening seemed stressed. Smoking was allowed in the bar, the food was relatively expensive, and the atmosphere felt inappropriate. We stayed one night.

The service was absolutely unwilling, and most of the food wasn't very tasty, though the soup was good. We ordered four Coke bottles, but they arrived past the expiration date. Since nobody came to the terrace, we went to tell the staff. They brought four replacement Coca-Cola bottles, with no apology, and one of those was also expired. They replaced that one too, again without apologizing. One dish wasn't brought correctly. I ordered chicken in English, and the waiter understood the request, but the service brought pork. When I returned the whole meal, they acted as if I'd ordered pork and told me I had, instead of apologizing. They also said the Coca-Cola was only three days past its expiration date and was okay, even though they replaced the bottles. I didn't end up paying for the returned meal. My friend ordered chicken schnitzel (wiener schnitzel), but it smelled as if the meat was old, so she didn't finish it. See photo. We paid for her schnitzel. It was my worst restaurant experience in Austria. Too bad. I hope this helps improve the service and food at the restaurant, and despite the bad review, I wish you good luck.

What a shame, this could be a great inn if they knew how to do it. The portions are tiny, and the salad was inedible, so I can't recommend it. I did tell the staff. Their reply was, "I already thought that while cooking, but yes, that's how it is!" Thanks, I won't be back.
