The walls were so thin we could hear the neighbours all night and again at 5am. The air-conditioning unit was dodgy too, and I had to fiddle with it before it would work. Later in the afternoon, a few shady-looking people seemed to be staying there and looking for "ciggie butts". I didn't feel comfortable leaving our things in the room, so I locked everything in the car when we walked to a nearby playground. We're not from Adelaide and had driven almost five hours. We stayed because it was less than a five-minute walk from our venue the next day. After ordering dinner, we found there were no utensils in the room. I called the number we'd been told to use for problems, and the person said they couldn't get to us for 30 minutes. After that time, I messaged to check, and they said, "sorry I got caught up at the chemist". I waited longer, then tried calling again an hour and a half after my first call, but got no answer. We ended up eating dinner like animals. Disgusting customer service. I will NOT return.

I couldn't use the stairs, so when I arrived and found there was no lift, I had to sit in reception, find somewhere else to stay and arrange a taxi. The receptionist was friendly but couldn't help. I got no refund because I had to cancel at the last minute. I'd booked for 30 Nov 25 through booking.com, and the motel information didn't say it was two storeys with no lift. I didn't think to request a ground-floor room. Please make it clear in the motel description that there are two storeys and no lift.

It's in a quiet area, so we could rest properly, and check-in and check-out can be self-service if the room is ready. The mini pantry had everything we needed, including a microwave, plates, bowls and utensils, and there was plenty of parking. Our room was clean, tidy, spacious, comfortable and well maintained, with good beds for a family with kids. The service was lovely and friendly, and the owner/receptionist was easy to communicate with. Good value for an affordable price. Many, many thanks, City West Motel 💯🫶 We'll definitely come back.

The check-in at City West Motel was quick and easy, and the staff were welcoming and really friendly. My room had everything I needed, and it was spotless, spacious and well equipped. I couldn't be happier with the stay. It was comfortable, clean and great value for money, with excellent service. I'll definitely be back and recommend City West Motel to anyone visiting the area.

Management at City West stood behind the door and watched me, but nobody opened it or tried to contact me. I was left outside after hours, even though I'd booked and paid. Around 7-8 pm, I knocked at the back door and heard someone say they were closed. My calls went straight to voicemail with no return call. At 9:30 pm I contacted the booking agent, who called and got the same voicemail. Around 10-10:30, the agent finally reached City West, and was told they were booked out. There were only two cars in the car park, and all but one or two rooms stayed dark the whole time. The place looks like an absolute dive anyway. I probably wouldn't let a cockroach stay the night there. Request denied. Not a word of this is untrue.
