The party upstairs was still going after midnight, and there was nobody on site to ask the drunk guests to quiet down. We just wanted the whole experience to be over. Earlier, we’d had to get a cleaner to show us how to turn on a shower that was nearly impossible to use. On arrival, we stood outside our apartment for 45 minutes because neither of our digital keys worked. There was no staff there to help, only Stephen on the phone, who was patronising. The next evening we got back late and, unbelievably, neither key worked again. Security took an hour to come and let us in. After a long day exploring Adelaide, we were stuck waiting at 11:30pm even though we had an early flight. This digital hotel setup was extremely difficult for me to manage. We also had to download an app and fill in forms on our phones to save them work, and upload a driver’s licence just to get the digital key. Imagine an older person dealing with all that. Why not use ordinary key cards and a drop box for returns, like other hotels, motels and apartments? There weren’t any shops nearby either. It was a miserable experience. Don’t give this place your business.

The room itself was okay, but the location wasn’t good and there was no view from our level-one apartment for what we paid per night. Check-in was a real hassle. We spent over 45 minutes waiting outside the gate, and the digital process wasn’t user-friendly for someone like me. The long wait in the call queue made it even worse. I won’t come back.

Buyer beware. My daughter booked this apartment complex for her 18th birthday. When they arrived to pay the bond and collect the keys, they were told the apartment allowed a maximum of four people. That was despite my daughter having celebrated there with a friend the week before, with more than ten people at the apartment. Halfway through the evening, after another group caused a noise disturbance, the landlord turned up banging on the door and said he needed to check the room. He forced his way in, grabbed a chair and said everyone had breached the policy and had to leave. My daughter packed up with her partner, and the group left. When she was visibly upset and said he was aggressive and had his hands in her face, he said he’d call the police. They arrived a short time later. They’d caused no damage and couldn’t even stay the night, but when they tried to get back the $200 bond, they were told it wouldn’t be returned because they’d breached the policy. I understand there need to be rules, but these were decent kids hoping to have a nice night and a couple of drinks before going out with friends for her 18th. My daughter and her partner had planned to stay the evening, which they didn’t get to do. After paying $661, they got only a couple of hours in the apartment. We had to take them home and carry on the celebration at our house. I wouldn’t recommend these apartments to young people.

The rooms were lovely, very clean and spacious, with great facilities, a big kitchen and a balcony. They could have supplied more spare blankets and toilet paper.
