We left hungry at 9:30pm with no food options available that late, after waiting nearly 50 minutes for an order that the kitchen never received. We visited on Tuesday 13/01 and ordered at about 8:24pm: chicken schnitzel, a Korean fried burger and beef lasagne. The steaks were unavailable because the kitchen was closing, which was fine. Lia took our order, but no one gave us an update while we waited. When we finally went to the bar, the first staff member, wearing a black top, didn't know anything about it. Lia checked the kitchen and came back with refund receipts, saying the kitchen hadn't received the order and the chefs had already left. No one noticed the problem until we followed up. There was no genuine apology or accountability, and the response didn't feel professional. Lia brushed it off as “all cool” and asked “What’s that?” when we requested compensation for leaving three customers without dinner. She said she had been on a break, which was completely unacceptable. Management should review the CCTV for Table 01 from 8:24pm to 9:30pm. It should show the lack of ownership, communication breakdown and poor service standards. This was a serious operational and leadership failure, not a minor mistake, and a refund doesn't excuse it. Customers deserve to know how late service is handled before spending an evening here.

The manager kept things running effortlessly, and Trudi did a great job organising the sweeps and serving us. At our Melbourne Cup set-menu lunch, the food was delicious and nicely presented. Lia looked after us well, staying friendly and keeping us informed about what was happening. I'd recommend the Links for future events if they're organised as well as today was. I can't remember the manager's name.

Went with friends and everyone was happy with the food. Every dish looked lovely and had loads of flavour. The Korean fried chicken burger and porkbelly bites were the standouts, absolutely amazing.

I only got into my room at 12:30am, after arriving for late check-in at about 11:30pm and dealing with long delays and a jammed door. I had nowhere else to go that late, so I had no other option. The room and facilities were definitely not worth $100 for one night. The name Links hotel made me think I was paying for a hotel, but it turned out to be a motel. I first asked the bar staff to get reception assistance. Lia, the person in charge, didn't come to the counter until they were notified a second time. Once seated to check me in, Lia said there was a problem at the bar and would be right back. I waited close to an hour, extremely tired and just wanting to get to my room. Bar staff even reminded Lia, but she said she was still busy. When Lia returned, they started chatting to customers who had just walked in instead of prioritising my already delayed check-in. After I got my keys, the room door wouldn't open. I had to go back to reception and wait for Lia to be called again. The door was jammed shut and had to be opened from the other side. The service and staff priorities were appalling throughout. When I complained to the booking site, the hotel lied about that night and said my check-in took only 12 minutes. I have a screenshot as proof. Please review CCTV from 30 Jan 2026, 11:30pm to 12:30am, or ask the regular customer who invited me to play pool because he'd seen me waiting for so long.

We made a last-minute decision to stop by the Links and ordered a big table of meals. They were amazing tonight, and Lia did a great job bringing them out. Marija was great behind the bar too. My family and I will be back. Thank you!
