Marion Holiday Park

The pools were the best part for me and my three-year-old grandchild. We had a great day swimming in both the large pool and the heated one, and he loved the water slides. We were busy that evening, otherwise we would’ve gone to the kids’ outdoor cinema too. There’s also a nice bar and cafe with simple food and drink choices, so we didn’t need to go elsewhere. The gardens and mature trees make it feel far from the city. Marion shopping centre and Event Cinemas are only five minutes away, and the beach isn’t far either. The accommodation is great, too. We stayed two nights and will definitely be back. It’d work well for a multigenerational break, a bigger family reunion, or city families who don’t want a long drive with kids in the car.

The only small letdown was the outdoor films. They were aimed more at younger children, which is fine, but our boys, aged 9 and 13, might have preferred something with broader appeal, like Back to the Future, Lion King or Bambi. Otherwise, we had a wonderful family holiday at Marion Holiday Park. Our poolside apartment was clean, modern, well stocked and very well designed. It was peak summer and understandably busy with people of all ages, but everything flowed nicely and the pleasant staff had things down to a T. The grandsons loved the two lovely pools, the water play park, bowling, pickleball and pool. Food and drinks were available at the lovely outdoor film venue. The boys were worn out by dinner and happy to relax in the comfortable apartment. We’re lucky to have this conveniently located oasis.

The facilities made this a wonderful stay. There were evening children’s movies, meals and an open bar, a great pool and water park, plus a cafe selling selected items for your room or caravan. The Team were amazing with requests and local knowledge. Nearby, there’s a natural park with open grassy play areas, 500+ year-old trees and room for kids to run freely. Marion Park is close to the beach, cbd, cinema, shopping and easy public transport. Commercial needs are also within 30-40 minutes. It’s an excellent choice while visiting Adelaide, and I look forward to staying again on my next visit. Wonderful stay, thanks Marion Park Team.

The camp kitchen was immaculate, and so were the showers and toilets. Staff were friendly, and we loved all the facilities and had a wonderful time. Camping near the hospital did mean a lot of noise at night, unfortunately. We’ll be back, but probably stay in a cabin next time.
