Colonial Court Holiday Apartments

The owner was lovely, and the room was fairly cheap. It was a quaint little room with a kitchenette and a very basic bathroom, but the bed was hard. When we arrived the room had a strong smell, as if it hadn’t been aired out after someone used the bathroom, and it lingered throughout our stay. That was pretty unpleasant, and after this experience I wouldn’t recommend it at the listed price.

The cleaning lady was lovely and gave us good tips for scenery. Without her, I wouldn’t have given it 3 stars. The rooms were very clean, but old and worn, and nothing like the photos. There was no private parking, just parking on the road. We heard lots of traffic and people, as well as noise from the rooms above. It wasn’t on the beachfront, and I felt the room should have cost at least half as much. I was very disappointed.

The rooms were clean and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. They let us check in a little early, and when we left, they kept our bags in the office while we waited four hours for our airport transfer. Colonial Court is less than a two minute walk from the beach and Airlie Beach Lagoon, with shops, clubs, and restaurants close by. It was perfect for a couple of nights, and would work for a longer stay too. I’d highly recommend Colonial Court and stay there again if I return to Airlie Beach.

It’s easy to get around Airlie from here, so we left the car parked for our whole stay. The room was large, with a well equipped kitchen, and check-in was simple. Great central location and good value.
