My dog loved the decent-sized yard, and the local parks were gorgeous to wander through, with plenty of ducks and other waterfowl. The house was accessible, clean, and thoughtfully laid out. It was beautifully presented, with comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchen. A washer and dryer would be useful for a longer stay.

Parker Eco House made being away from home much easier. It’s genuinely wheelchair accessible, with a roll-in shower, handrails where needed, wide corridors, and a functional, spacious layout. There’s parking for a disability-modified vehicle, and the house is comfortable and well equipped throughout. The host’s customer service was remarkable, nothing was too much trouble. Six stars.

We spent three weeks at the Parker Eco House in July while waiting for our first child to arrive. Having our dog with us made a hectic time so much better, and the central Albany location put all the sights within easy reach. John was so helpful with suggestions for places to explore, especially the Sunday markets, which were our favourite. We’d definitely recommend Albany Short Stays.

There was a lovely little box of chocolates when we arrived, and our dog was very happy here too. The outdoor area is large, the beds are comfy, and the accommodation was really clean.

It felt very homely, and the owner was wonderful, accommodating, and understanding. Orana Cinemas is a two-minute drive away, and the city is eight minutes away. I’d absolutely stay again.
