The location was a real plus, with the CBD within walking distance, and the room was spacious enough for kids. We visited Ballarat on 13 and 14 Feb 2026, spending Valentine’s Day there, and were glad we took the affordable motel offer. It was clean, if not fancy, and had the basic coffee, tea, and milk. Staffing and service were minimal, but we just needed a place to stay while enjoying Beautiful Ballarat. The car park slopes up a little, but there was plenty of room to park and even bring our mountain bike into the room. I’d recommend it to couples and families looking for a budget motel with spacious rooms. We loved the motel and its friendly, timid host.

The staff were friendly, and the room was affordable for our two-night stay. The carpet was so dirty that the soles of our feet went black, so we ended up keeping our shoes on. When room service came to empty the bins, they didn't leave extra milk in the fridge. There were only little containers, and I had two kids having cereal. I was lucky I'd brought extra milk. The microwave didn't work either, but luckily I'd packed food for the kids that didn't need heating.

BEWARE!!!!! I had $150 cash taken from inside my bag while I was out for the day. When I called reception, I was told no bags had been touched during cleaning, but that couldn't be true: other bags in the room had been moved, and a charger had been taken out of the wall. The motel won't do anything for me, since they “definitely didnt do it”. Give me my money back and I'll delete this review. DONT STAY HERE!!! THEY ARE LIERS AND THIEVES!!

Housekeeping came every day, and check-in was great. I arrived a bit early, but my room was ready in 10 minutes. Parking was excellent, and it's close to everything, just 5 minutes from my family. I'd recommend it, 10/10.

It was a quiet, comfortable stay in a spacious room booked for three people. There was a microwave, bar fridge, and TV, though the TV wasn't smart, so we couldn't watch Netflix.
