The Point Resort

The Basin is great for safe swimming, and the Main Street is close for food and entertainment, so the location works perfectly. We’ve been coming to The Point every year for several years with family and friends, and we all love it, including Sharon and Craig, the Managers. We’ve stayed in almost all the rooms, and they’ve all been spotless, well furnished with what you need, and have really comfortable beds. As an ex-travel agent, I thoroughly recommend it for a relaxing stay with clean amenities. I often wonder why people don’t raise issues with the Manager, because I know Sharon and Craig will bend over backwards to make sure each guest’s stay exceeds expectations. Can’t wait to head back this year.

The kids had plenty to do, from swimming and putt putt golf to time together around the outdoor BBQ area. The rooms and resort were spotless, the facilities were excellent, and the pool was great. We also got excellent advice from the managers about local restaurants and things to do, which helped make our trip memorable. Point Resort Bargara has a beautiful setting, sensational views, and easy access to everything we needed. We had a fantastic stay, couldn’t fault it, and will definitely be back.

We left a night early because it was that bad. I’d asked for a sea view, but we got put out view. School holidays or not, kids riding scooters around the balconies shook unit 212. There wasn’t enough tea, coffee, sugar, or toilet paper, not even a cracker for what we paid. The room layout was poor, the carpet was damaged, and parking a 4WD was almost impossible. The pool was cloudy. Total disappointment.

This was our third visit to the resort, staying in a two-bedroom apartment to visit family. The bed was very comfortable, and the rooms were well appointed. The kitchen, bathroom, and floors were all very clean, and it’s well located in Bargara. The insect screens need a clean, and there was some rust and corrosion, especially around the shower.
