Barrington Riverside Cottages

We came with two friends for one night on our motorcycle trip and found a real gem. The cabin is high quality, with a great verandah, lovely views and the privacy we were after. The neighbours are a comfortable distance away. Someone said it felt too secluded, but we wanted to get away from the crowds, not have a town right outside. If you’re after that kind of quiet, Barrington Riverside Cottages was perfect for us.

The hosts were hostile over what felt like a small mix-up about timing. We were still gathering our things when they threw our belongings outside, as though we’d seriously broken a rule. A polite reminder would have been enough, but we were met with impatience and aggression instead. Everyone makes mistakes, and I expect a host to handle them with some maturity and professionalism. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re not okay with being treated badly over an honest misunderstanding.

Melanie Cottage had plenty of space, a nice bathroom and a comfortable mattress. The heating and air conditioning were good, and the outlook was lovely. I’ll be back!

We had the property to ourselves on a chilly Friday and made good use of the fire pit. The setting is really pretty and the bed was comfortable. Our cottage, "Grace", was okay, though it could do with an update. We enjoyed our stay.
