We travel regularly, and our stay prompted me to write this. We booked at the last minute on Saturday Feb 28,2026 at 8pm. The owner who answered happily accepted us and waited until we arrived at 9pm. He kindly upgraded our room, which we really appreciated. The room was very well kept and maintained, even though it wasn't new. The linen, bed and everything smelled fresh, unlike our unfortunate experiences at even top-end hotels where the linen and spare pillows somehow smell. Not at the Coachman Inn here at Bathurst. We'll be visiting Bathurst regularly now, so we'll stay at the Coachman Inn for sure. I just hope there's a vacancy, since changes to our own schedule often mean we book late. Thanks again, Coachman Inn, for waiting for us and giving us a wonderful room and excellent service. Kind regards, Mike aka Josh.

Great value, and the motel seems to have been recently refurbished, with fresh paint, a new TV and a new bed. The split system air con kept the room nice and cool during a stay on a 40 degree day with a 30 degree night. The bed was comfortable, and they provided good-quality shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Very clean and well maintained.

A basic, clean and comfortable motel in a good spot, close to everything Bathurst has to offer. I stayed two nights. It's family run, and I'd recommend it if you're unsure where to stay.

They accused an elderly woman and her grandchildren of taking blankets, even though they clearly didn't have any. They didn't ask first, the woman immediately verbally abused them, yelling and screaming. I left a review on Bookings, and they replied by calling it fake. There's no customer service here. They also found a ring on the floor and handed it in, which makes me wonder whether the room had been vacuumed beforehand or cleaned properly. I'd hate for this to happen to anyone else. Avoid this place. The replies to reviews show how aggressive and unprofessional they are.

The room was bigger than I expected and very well maintained. I was super happy with the stay, and having a restaurant there was a real bonus. If you like steak, they cook it to perfection. The manager was an absolute gentleman and even offered to help with my laundry. He washed it, folded it and brought it back. Thank you very much!
