I can’t recommend this motel. Broken glass was left where I had to park, and it was never cleared; the dumpster bins were overflowing with rubbish. The towels were stinky and threadbare, and the two extras I asked for never came. The tea, coffee and biscuits were very minimal, and for two people staying two nights there was just one tiny soap, with no shampoo, conditioner or body wash. The room had dirty pillowcases with makeup on them, though it wasn’t mine. I also had to help a female delivery driver after an intoxicated tenant shoved her and took alcohol he hadn’t paid for, then shut his door. When I called reception to ask about breakfast, I was told they don’t do breakfast. Before I could ask where to find some, the call went dead. Why advertise a cafe restaurant when nothing like that is available? The place seemed to be housing homeless people waiting to be housed. It was disgraceful.

The after-hours staff were great, but I really can’t recommend this place. The rooms are old and unclean, the bed was uncomfortable, and the towels smelled so bad that I had to shower again to get rid of the smell.

We couldn’t sleep all night because we were itchy everywhere. Maybe the blankets or sheets were dirty, but the place felt filthy, and we’ll never return. When my husband and I arrived, the front desk door was locked, nobody answered the bell, and it took a long time to get anyone on the phone. Then we found the room key carelessly left under the carpet by the door. We’ve travelled to plenty of places, and this hotel was truly awful.

We’re visiting Shepparton for an event this coming weekend, but now we have nowhere to stay. We booked a room at the Bell tower a year ago, then got a call yesterday saying it had been double booked. The owners Gangam and Sunny never contacted us; I had to call them several times over the past 24 hours and deal with booking.com directly. There’s no care factor at all. Their reviews show this has happened multiple times before. It’s a horrendous way to run a business and a huge disappointment. Please don’t stay here or give them your money. There are more decent and trustworthy motels and hotels in the area that deserve your business.

The owner/manager got out of bed at 11:30 pm to let me stay overnight after my travel plans changed, and late check-out was a bonus. The rooms are large, well heated and clean, with loads of hot water and clean linen. The tea and coffee are good quality too, yes, some places still use Internation Roast, but not here. Great place for the price. I’ll be back 👍😀
