The bistro dinner was well priced, and breakfast service was very good during my recent stay. My one complaint is that I couldn’t get hold of staff about the extremely noisy guests in the room above.

A good spot for a quiet drink and to pass an evening, with a large TAB and a beer garden. The place seemed to draw a slightly older crowd than some other venues in town. It’s an interesting art-deco building, although parts of the front bar have been renovated without much sympathy for the original style.

We’ve been coming for Bathurst for three years in a row, and our friends have been visiting for 26 years. For the third year running, the bistro has completely messed things up. It’s awful customer service, with no focus on the customer. The bistro ran out of food 30 minutes after opening at noon, then shut at 1:30. The chef told us to go to Maccas if we didn’t like the service. The food we did get was completely cold. You pay big bucks and get nothing back. We won’t return. Three chances, gone!

As we travel around Australia, this is consistently our top choice, especially during Bathurst 1000 weekends. It has a brilliant atmosphere, approachable staff, lots of open space, and is a cool escape from the heat. Best hotel in Bathurst.

Stopped by for a quick beer on a warm Saturday afternoon. Plenty of locals were enjoying themselves, and the service was fast and friendly. Recommended.
