We’ve stayed at these apartments for 11 nights over New Years for the last 3 years. This year was a real disappointment. They weren’t clean, and the facilities weren’t up to their usual standard. The dishwasher racks were rusted and broken, so we had to wash our dishes by hand. The coffee machine didn’t work, there was no lid for the steamer on the saucepan, the bins were overflowing, and dirty linen had been left under the stairwell. Our floors were dirty, and a previous tenant’s towel was still on a broken hook behind the door. The apartments’ affiliation with the tavern has also meant a DJ was set up right next to an apartment, creating unacceptable noise. It’s happened two years in a row. The property manager didn’t see a problem with it, and calling the police was the only way to address it. What made it worse was the manager’s arrogance and lack of understanding about how all this affected our family holiday. We won’t be back.

The views are awesome, and this place could be fantastic, which makes the condition such a shame. It was absolutely disgusting and dirty. The bathroom and toilet were yuk, there were dirty dishes in the cupboard, and the floors were so filthy our feet turned black when we walked barefoot, as you can see from the towel. The windows were covered in cobwebs and impossible to see through. Kitchen utensils were broken, and dirty washing sat in the hallway for all 3 days of our stay. The manager sent someone to do a quick clean, but it wasn’t much better. He also said he would give us a 30% refund, but we’ve never received anything.

The views and location were great, and the owners were helpful and knew the area well. The apartment was very clean, with a comfortable bed, a huge bathroom and a kitchen stocked with everything we could need. It was spacious too. We’d stay again.

The ocean views are gorgeous, and the location is perfect, with the Tavern just two steps away for dinner and a bottle of wine. The apartments are clean, well presented and easy to check into. They seem very well thought out in their design. I definitely want to return and bring the extended family next time.

Bompas is amazingly yummy and convenient for food, and this is a perfect spot, close to everything with all the amenities we needed. Our favourite new beach spot in SA.
