We liked how comfortable the apartment was, especially the excellent bed, spacious bathroom, good heating and hot water. There was plenty of room, two bedrooms, a full kitchen with cooking gear, a new full-size fridge, and lots of tea and coffee. The layout also gave us good privacy. It was handy for a few days exploring Benalla and nearby places like Glenrowan, the wineries and Winton Wetlands, with the shopping centre a short drive away. It’s also near the airport if you enjoy watching planes and gliders, and opposite the hospital, which can be reassuring. I’d recommend it for the space, comfort and kitchen. The place looks dated, with an 80s feel, and the outside is looking tired. It must have been lovely in its day, and some care and money could bring it back. One of the two hotplates barely worked. The grounds were weedy and neglected, and tidying them would improve the presentation. The BBQ area wasn’t inviting either. Reception was closed when we arrived and left, despite being within the stated hours. I prefer to meet and speak with my hosts in person.

The apartment had everything we expected, including a fully equipped kitchen and laundry, and the heating kept us comfortable. My wife and I thought the accommodation was fantastic. We’d happily recommend this motel to anyone staying in Benalla, and we’ll definitely come back.

We stayed three nights and weren’t impressed. The kitchen had no hot water, and the toaster smoked so we couldn’t use it. The bedroom door leading outside wouldn’t lock. There was a wasp nest on a post by the outdoor seating, a broken carport post, and the grounds needed maintenance. We definitely won’t be back.

A really affordable, quiet place. The heater had been switched on before we arrived, which was a lifesaver. The shower was huge, the bed super comfy, and the staff were lovely. We’ll come back.

It was very clean, and the bathrooms are highly accessible. Having laundry facilities in the unit is handy for longer stays and for people with accessibility needs. The units have a lot of potential, but the extra bed in the lounge made the layout feel cramped and blocked the sliding doors. Outside, the gardens were poorly kept and the broken carport added to the neglected feel.
