The owners are such welcoming, lovely people, and the huge common area we stayed in was amazing. Communication before the trip was great, even with some email issues. There’s plenty to see nearby, including the very interesting fosterville mine, where we even panned for gold. The night skies were incredible for a budding astrophotographer. I’m sure I’ll be back! For your information, the astrophotography images are 1. De Mairan's Nebula and 2. The Horsehead nebula. 😊

We were after a break from the hustle and bustle, and found it really relaxing. There are nice flat walks in the bush, and the double bed was very comfortable.

Last year, while I was very sick and staying in bed during the day, my family went out. The managers looked in through the window for a while without seeing me, then came inside and switched off some of the lights while I was still there. Being unwell and in bed, I found that incredibly invasive and uncomfortable.

It was an uncomfortable stay, with my personal privacy disregarded. Management looked through the windows and came inside uninvited while I was in bed. I’d only suggest staying if you’re fine with that.

The owners were super helpful, and booking directly by phone was easy. The cabin was nice and had all the facilities. I loved my stay at Gunyah retreat, especially the lovely walks around there, and I’ll definitely visit again.
