After a long day driving through floodwaters, sitting down in the clean restaurant was a real lift. The food was cooked just right, portions were spot on, and there were plenty of dinner choices. The kitchen opens at 5:30 pm, though gluten-free options are limited. Ash, the manager, and Lizzie, our waitress, were so friendly and lovely, and really made my day. Great location and atmosphere too.

The food was generous and delicious, and the menu had lots of good choices. I’m not usually into pub food, but this place changed my mind. We’ve tried everywhere in Bowen, and this was leaps and bounds ahead of the others. Sash brought our meals over and was incredibly friendly and polite, going out of the way to help. Ash also came by to tell the kids they could have a free ice cream after dinner, which made their night. The whole team made us feel welcome and gave us a memorable experience. Thanks to Sash, Ash and everyone there.

Di and I came for the 2025 Christmas luncheon, and the food and service were the best ever. Adriam, Amber, Veronica, Shy Ash and the chefs, Stan, Hasi and Pyae, were wonderful. Amber and Veronica deserve 10 stars each for the jokes and fun they brought to our visit. We also had lunches here during our stay. Everything was delicious, well cooked and more than enough, and the staff were fantastic every time. I absolutely recommend this place. Thanks, guys. We’ll be back next time we’re in town.

The staff were cheerful, helpful and friendly, and the house wines were very good. My Linguine puttanesca was excellent, as was the Spanish Mackerel my husband had. Well worth stopping in for a meal.

Had a Caesar salad with juicy grilled chicken, fresh crunchy cos, homemade croutons, egg, bacon and sauce. Best one I’ve had. The ocean breeze and pleasant setting made it even better. Well done, QB, I’ll be back!
