Collins Cottage

It’s a lovely place to relax, with a French-style feel throughout, a peaceful setting at the end of a no-through street, and most supplies well stocked. I’d love to come back, though it needs a bit more maintenance to be perfect. Several small things need attention. The bedroom TV didn’t work; it was quickly removed after we reported it, but hadn’t been replaced. Several Roman blind cords needed reattaching or their pulleys rerouted, and we fixed two. The fridge was noisy enough to keep one of us awake, making a sound like a flock of doves. There was plenty of firewood, but too little kindling, and we used the open fire just once, which used it all up. The main bedroom’s back door had a broken latch, a bathroom cupboard was missing a knob, and the double cane chair outside had a broken leg.
