Tasman Holiday Parks - South Bright

The team kept us well informed during the recent hot days and bushfires, including updates and emergency warnings. Their communication was fantastic, from our first enquiry right through the stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Bright and our time at Tasman - South Bright. The facilities are well maintained, and the location is great, just a short drive or walk into town. We’d visit again.

We had a really enjoyable stay over the January holidays, and I was happy with both the cabin and its amenities. It was only when I went to book again that things changed. The nightly rate had gone from $339 to $429, or $409 with the return discount, and we were told there was now a five-night minimum. That took the total from $1356 to $2045, or $2165 without the discount, a 26% yearly increase. I understand inflation, insurance, wages and demand, but that feels like price gouging for a caravan park. Management showed no regret.

The park looked lovely, but getting our van onto a site was very difficult when it was busy. We had to ask other guests to move their cars to make room for our 19.6 van. We were there during a heatwave, and the crowded pool raised safety concerns, with kids sliding and jumping into one another.

We stayed in a two-bedroom villa cabin. Our toddler loved the pool and the roomy bedrooms, and my husband and I had a great stay too. Having a coffee van opposite reception was handy. We’d happily recommend this gem.
