Kirribilli Riverfront Apartments

The location was lovely, which made all the problems especially disappointing. We spent six weeks there while our new place was being finished, but the booking wasn’t extended as requested, so we had to find somewhere else at the last minute with two little kids. There was ongoing construction in the apartment above with no warning, and loud music played from the caretaker’s apartment in the evenings. Cleaning was minimal, mostly just changing sheets and towels. The washing machine overflowed into the bathroom twice, and the dryer constantly overheated because it had no venting. The apartment lacked basics for a serviced stay, like saucepans and cooking trays. The oven, and the whole apartment, were so old they barely worked, and the furniture wasn’t ideal for little kids.

There’s a great coffee shop across the road, and it’s easy to get to the public playground and the walking path along the river. The facilities are amazing, with a pool, sauna, lovely lawns and tennis court. Management were friendly and very helpful.

The kitchen is well equipped, and the place was clean and neat in a splendid location. It’s honest, good value accommodation. If you’re after gold taps and three-way showers, you’ll want to look elsewhere.

We had a wonderful stay at Kirribilli Apartments. The staff were very friendly, and the apartment was spacious and clean, with magnificent views of the river and city. I highly recommend it and hope I can return one day.
