The room was a lovely surprise, really clean, comfortable, and nicely set up. We’d come to see a band in the back room and decided to stay over. Leanna greeted us so warmly, check-in was easy, and we found the room without any trouble. Had a great night in the bar too, the staff were amazing. We’ll be back for sure.

We stayed three nights with my sister and a family friend, and the room was usually clean, but it had a horrible smell whenever we came back. The air conditioner was dusty and mouldy and made strange noises at night. On arrival, people were smoking drugs outside the back entrance, which gave us the impression that staff didn’t care what was happening on the property. Check-in took ages because the receptionist wasn’t at the desk, and then she took a long time to go through everything. Her attitude was extremely rude. The three of us are small young Asian women, and she really scared me. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

The band downstairs played until midnight, loud enough to shake the walls and floor while I was trying to sleep. Nobody told me the hotel and pub were run by the same people or that there would be live music. At that hour, getting to the hotel meant hauling all my luggage through the middle of a packed, noisy pub. If I’d known beforehand, I would have cancelled right away. The lack of notice and consideration was shocking. Stay somewhere else.

Our family room had loads of space, and the rooms were clean and modern. The staff were super friendly, and the complimentary drink vouchers were a nice touch. There’s a food shop and a liquor store right downstairs, plenty of parking at the back, and a bus into the city. The train station is about 20 minutes away. We’ll come back.

I was travelling alone and wanted somewhere safe, clean, affordable, and with its own bathroom. This place worked well, and the compact queen room was easily big enough for me. I felt welcome as soon as I checked in. There isn’t much food on site, but there are lots of choices within walking distance, plus a Woolworths not far down the road. One thing to know is the stairs: there are 42 from the carpark to the rooms, yes, I counted them. If that’s an issue for you, keep it in mind. I’d stay again when I’m in the area.
