Kookaburra Inn

I needed somewhere reasonably priced in Brisbane while my sister was in hospital. Stephen and Sean made me feel welcome and were friendly and helpful the whole time. The rooms are old, but clean, and the bathrooms and kitchens were kept clean too. If you need an affordable bed in a central spot, I'd recommend the Kookaburra Inn.

It's an easy walk into the city, about 15 minutes, so I didn't need to take the bus. The room was clean and comfortable, and there are useful shared facilities, including a kitchen, dining room, and several bathrooms with showers. The staff were so kind and friendly. Thanks for everything, I'll see you on my next Brisbane visit 😊

The regulars are friendly and helpful, and Sean is a delight. Rooms, kitchens, and bathrooms were all clean. There are signs around the place asking people to be considerate of others staying there. I found there were a few too many steps for my liking, though that's hilly Brisbane. It's within walking distance of the city centre, and it'll be my choice when I'm in Brisbane.

I slept more soundly here than I ever have. The beds are comfortable, the air conditioning is strong, and everything is clean and convenient. Sean, the manager, was the nicest and most accommodating person I've met in tourism and deserves an award. The other woman working there was just as nice and helped me carry my giant suitcase up the stairs. It's very well run and amazing value for the price. Best place to stay in Brisbane for sure.
