Raceways Motel

I booked based on the online photos, which was a big mistake. The room I got was a dump and nothing like what had been offered. My rating would be a total minus. If my flight hadn't been delayed and the taxi had still been there, I wouldn't have stayed.

Never stay here. There were bed bugs and mites in my bed. I got back from Brisbane two days ago, and had to go to the hospital to get the itchy skin on my arms, legs and hands checked. I have scabios and am completely frustrated. This place is a public health hazard. The local health department must check it urgently.

This place used to be great, but now it's dirty, smelly and needs refurbishing. The sheets didn't fit the bed properly, and there was only one chair for three guests. The previous owners would be horrified by its state. In hindsight we should have got a refund, but guess. “Fred” wasn't there to speak to. Terrible, go elsewhere. It should be a dog kennel now.

I couldn't stay in the room or even take a shower, and had to book another hotel for the night because I was afraid of getting sick. The room was extremely dirty, the doors were broken, the wardrobe smelled disgusting, and there were mouse droppings everywhere. Dust and filth were all over the place. When we switched on the air conditioner, it gave off a horrible smell. The toilet was completely black and the bathroom was covered in mould. People had smoked in the rooms, and someone had even put a plastic bag over the smoke alarm. I've never experienced anything so outrageous. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
