We had a great place to celebrate Mother’s Day with the family, and the grandkids had a ball in the play area. My wife said the beef pie was delicious. She doesn’t usually buy pies, so that’s high praise for the kitchen. Thank you!

The beer garden line barely moves, and there’s always a queue at the till. I’ve been coming for years and the service has been consistently slow. Get another till or bring in someone to sort out the process. It’s horrible, there’s no reason it should take this long.

We drove up from the Gold Coast to eat here, and after 30 years of dining out this was the most overrated place I’ve experienced. The food was cooked and made incorrectly compared with the menu. When we tried to get it fixed, the manager on duty offered no help and instead offered more drinks. I wondered whether she was following her RSA obligations. The management was rude, and the chef was completely incompetent. It felt like they were cutting corners on ingredients and the work involved in making the food. I’d suggest going to a local RSL rather than waiting here. I contacted the manager today about it, and got the clear impression he wasn’t interested in the place at all. That led to a verbal altercation, and I admit I could have handled myself better. If you don’t get what you paid for here, you may have to accept it, because they don’t seem interested in customer satisfaction or quality.

The deals are really good, especially on Mondays when the chicken parmigiana is just $21. But it was a big letdown that there was no Napoli sauce. That sauce is a must-have and would have lifted the rating. Otherwise, good times!
