The Westin Brisbane was a wonderful choice for celebrating my birthday and retirement. The whole team’s genuine hospitality made the stay unforgettable, and I’m already looking forward to coming back. Every staff member’s dedication made these milestones more special, and I hope my thanks are passed on to everyone I mention. Mr. Joseph, the Manager, stayed calm and reassured me when I panicked after losing my mobile phone. He even called the transportation card company to help track it down. His caring, proactive help was a lifesaver. Ms. Calais from the Dining Team greeted me kindly at breakfast each time and made sure I was comfortable, making every morning pleasant. Ms. Simran, the Manager, carefully coordinated everything before arrival, and it was all perfectly arranged. The Guest Experience Team left a touching handwritten letter and lovely welcome amenities that made me feel celebrated. I was also impressed by Mr. Aden, the Manager, and the professional, welcoming way he treated guests during check-in.

The staff were the best part of my stay. Everyone was so kind, and Jess(Jessnice?) helped me check in and made me feel very welcome. I really appreciated it. The hotel was very clean and sits right in the middle of the city. The gym is small, but definitely usable. Housekeeping felt a little slow, which was a slight disappointment. Still, it was a beautiful, lovely stay, and everything was amazing.

Everything was clean and luxurious, just amazing. Luoise and Rose at the pool bar made the stay especially memorable. They were on their own on a Sunday before the Aussie Day public holiday, working hard without getting stressed and always smiling. Honestly, those girls deserve a pay rise! 🫶🏼

The service is what really sets this Westin apart. The whole team were friendly and went above and beyond whenever we needed help. I’ve stayed at lots of hotels and many Westins, and this is a good one. The club lounge, pool and gym are all solid, and there are plenty of great shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. One thing to keep in mind is that it’s downtown, so there’s a lot going on nearby and some construction around. If you need absolute peace and quiet, I’d probably look in another area. I’d highly recommend it.

The people serving us were very nice and pleasant, but the service delivery fell short. Food in the club room was awful and served lukewarm, below the minimum temperature required by the health standard. Bar snacks like chips (fries) were expensive and took around 30 minutes. Drinks came faster, in 5-15 minutes when it wasn’t busy, but staff seemed more focused on cleaning than serving. The all-day snacks in the club room apparently meant gluten-free biscuits. With a breakfast package, expect an interrogation at the door from the resident guards. Comcast TV repeatedly needed a reset by hotel staff, causing a 15-30 minute delay before you could watch anything. The room phone only worked sometimes. The whole place was freezing. I’m not sure why, but bring a coat for the common accommodation foyers. I think our room thermostat wasn’t sensing the temperature. Very nice people, but I can’t recommend it.
