We’ve stayed here before and keep recommending it to our friends. The hosts are lovely, accommodating, and make you feel welcome.

Rachel was a great host and always did what she could to accommodate our requests. My family arrived two hours before check-in, but she kindly opened one of the rooms we’d booked so we could rest, have refreshments and leave our luggage. I had a lovely two-night stay in a cosy, clean and comfortable Queen room, beautifully furnished in a European style. Breakfast had a splendid selection of bread, cereal, juice, coffee and tea, and we’d find homemade shortbread or cookies in the room too. Kirkland House is conveniently near restaurants, Mac and the city. I’d certainly come back on my next trip to Brisbane.

Rachel made our Brisbane stay memorable. She was a wonderful, accommodating host, and the peaceful surroundings made it ideal for light sleepers. The room was surprisingly spacious for two and had all the facilities we needed. A lavish breakfast was laid out each day. We adored our two nights at Kirkland House. Since it’s a century-old house, we’d suggest putting out some brochures or printouts about its history, which could make it more interesting for history buffs. We recommend this B&B to both holidaymakers and business travellers.

I’ve stayed here several times and find it good value with a really handy location. Public transport is right nearby, and two different food and entertainment areas are an easy walk. There are supermarkets close by, plus a 24-hour petrol station and a 24-hour Micky Dee's. The house is solidly built, so you don’t hear the people in the next room.
