We found the hotel welcoming from the start. Inside, it has a lovely vintage, old-money feel, even though the outside looks a bit dated. It was very clean, the staff were lovely, and the beds and pillows were super comfortable. The towels were especially big and soft. It's handy for the racecourse if you're going to an event. We took Ubers into the city and Southbank for more things to do and places to eat, which was no trouble: rides took about five minutes and cost a reasonable amount.

A quiet, comfortable place with lovely views of the Brisbane River and Albion Park Raceway. The rooms are very clean, and there's a pool and off-road parking. It's in good condition and well maintained, though the wallpaper is a bit crazy. The hotel sits between the airport and city. Newstead Homestead, Rise cafe, which does great coffee, breakfast and lunch, and the historic Breakfast Creek pub are two blocks away.

Our room was spacious and nicely laid out, with a very comfortable bed. I especially appreciated having plenty of towel rails and hooks in the bathroom, something many places lack. We stayed one night with friends, and the View was close to the activities we had planned as well as the Breakfast Creek Hotel.
