It was an old house, but it was comfortable and had everything we needed, including lots of blankets. The kids had a great setup too, with a swingset out front and a pile of sand in the backyard. Really good value for money. Communication before our stay was great: we got the key access details by email and a text the day before.

The cottage has three bedrooms, a lounge, dining room, kitchen and family bathroom, so it could suit a family of up to six. Some facilities are a little old, but they're quite good overall and we found the place very comfortable. It's a nice old miners cottage in the quiet South Broken Hill area, away from the tourist bustle. Although it's south of the main road through Broken Hill, it's convenient for exploring the town and surrounding area.

I expected to get a room, but ended up with the whole house. It was very much self-catered, and tremendous value. The sunset really sealed the deal!
