Sturt Motel

We were glad to get one of the last rooms at a good price, though booking a day ahead was necessary. The room was spacious and immaculate, with a modern bathroom, strong shower pressure, and a bed that was far more comfortable than I expected at a motel. Parking near the room was handy, and we were only a five minute drive from the pubs and centre. The long drive felt worth it, and I’d come back. The flies and mosquitoes were waiting when we arrived, so we ended up playing tag with them. We won: 14 mozzies and 5 flies. There weren’t many local vegetarian choices, so we got burgers from the local Hungry Jacks. Four out of five for me, it would have been five if not for the bugs.

This was the best motel we stayed at on our trip from SA to NSW coast. The pool was clean and shaded, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our bed was very comfortable, the room was good, and the bathroom, though a little dated, was very clean. The air con was already on when we arrived.

Easy check-in and check-out with the key and phone process, and the aircon was solid. Inside felt modern, with a good shower and a comfy bed. This little motel in Broken Hill was very affordable and great value on our big outback roadtrip. We’ll stay again when we pass through. Thanks for a great visit!

My sons were driving a moving truck from Lithgow to Broken Hill, and by the time they reached their room they were glad to find it clean and equipped with a kitchen. They told me the beds were comfortable and they got a good rest. I booked online, then spoke with the receptionist, who was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
