Jacaranda Park Holiday Cottages

We were a group of seven, and Bookie met us at the airport. Great service. Vanessa and Bookie were lovely hosts, and the cottage was spotless and presented beautifully. It had everything we could need, right down to an egg timer and toothpicks.

Vanessa and Bookie are what make Jacaranda Cottages my favourite place on Norfolk Island. They’re incredibly kind, helpful and attentive, and you can see how much care they put into the place. I’ve travelled to 69 countries and stayed in more hotels than I can count, and this one really stands out. The cottages feel like charming country homes, with wooden floors, a big spa bath and a roomy balcony looking over the valley to the sea. The breeze comes through nicely. Everything is spotless and well maintained, and the kitchen and little laundry are genuinely fully equipped. Each cottage feels private from the others, both in terms of noise and what you can see. Parking and the shared barbecue deck are easy to get to and convenient. There are plenty of good places to stay on the island, but this is the one I like best.

The valley and sea views are lovely, and the garden is peaceful apart from the birds. The apartment was tastefully furnished with fresh flowers and scrupulously clean. My wife and I travel a lot, and we both thought Jacaranda Cottages was among the best self contained apartments we’ve stayed in. We wanted for nothing, and I can barely think of even a small criticism. I doubt I’d consider staying anywhere else when we inevitably return to this fabulous island. Bookie and Vanessa are great hosts who thought of everything. Each cottage even had a mobile phone for the local 2G network, which came in handy. Everything said in the other reviews still applies.

The valley opens out to a stunning view of the distant ocean, and Bookie and Vanessa were magnificent hosts. Their attention to detail was outstanding. Even the shower screen handles were shaped like little shower heads, a lovely touch. We’ll be back, just not soon enough for me to get leave from work! Best wishes 🌠 Chell and Tom 🙂🚂🚂
