The Surf House Team made the stay great, and the value for money was amazing. I was here in 2021 and it was good then too. The hostel is super clean, with friendly staff and great facilities, and you can tell the team works hard to make sure guests enjoy themselves. The upgrades are thoughtfully done, with a sauna, cold plunge and rooftop yoga. Social events in the bar were a fun way to meet people, and the happy hour prices were amazing. It’s a great mix of wellness and fun. I’m sure I’ll be back. 🧡🧡

It’s a pleasant place to stay in Byron Bay, and the hostel is very well situated. Rooms are nice and clean, with curtains that give you a bit of extra privacy. Bathrooms can get dirty quickly, but they’re cleaned daily, so that works out well. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped, with lots of room to store food. It is quite expensive for what you get.

I stayed six nights in a 6-bed mixed dorm and really enjoyed it. The location is perfect: the beach is a few minutes away, the best nightlife spots are close but not so close that the hostel gets noisy, and ALDI is nearby. The hostel was clean, the beds comfortable, and the kitchen big and well equipped. The rooftop bar was lovely, and there were all kinds of nice activities, including free morning yoga from Mo to Fri. Staff were always helpful. When I arrived, the guy at reception saw my big luggage and helped carry it upstairs. I’d stay again!

They upgraded our room, and the facilities were really good. The accommodation wasn’t cheap, but it was okay overall. The blinds didn’t block enough light, the floor in our room was a bit sandy and greasy, and a bar fridge would’ve been nice.

The kitchen was huge and easy to use, and the hostel felt clean and sociable. Staff were good too. The rooms and bathrooms were a little cramped, and having to hand over ID just to borrow a hairdryer was mildly annoying. Still, it was a good stay and I’d recommend it.
