The house has a great position on a peaceful, quiet stretch of beach, with lovely views. There’s room for 14 without a squeeze, plenty of showers, and you’re right on a beautiful beach. We saw dolphins and rays, and there’s a handy coffee van nearby for cafe-made coffee. The lighthouse walk is also easy to access, mostly ramps and steps, about 750 metres up with a great view. I’m 60 and managed the walk down to the beach every day. It’s a great house and spot if you’re fit. The driveway is awful to navigate. It’s the only way in, shaped like a Z with two sections to climb. You can get a car up, but it’s difficult. You have to drive up the first half, then reverse to get close to the steps in front of the house. A four-wheel drive might make it easier. The house is out of town, and a taxi costs $25. There’s a strict no-noise rule after 10 pm. We were fined big bucks for being outside just 15 minutes past 10, with no warning. We were all happy on the first night and genuinely hadn’t noticed the time, so that was sad. It seems the neighbours report you straight away, with no second chances. Otherwise, it’s in a very good location.
